Moeller/Eaton Integration Article as at 2 April 2009

During 2009 customers can expect to see a whole new look for the electrical components leader, Eaton Industries.

Following completion of the merger with The Moeller Group last year, the two companies have joined forces to create a single organisation under the Eaton name. With more staff and an unparalleled technical and engineering expertise, Eaton has some aggressive (and impressive) plans for the market.

The first change that most customers will see will be a new consolidated product line. This draws on the best of both Eaton and Moeller to create a complete range of IEC compliant components for all market segments – from residential to heavy industry and mining. The result is a greatly expanded set of Eaton products encompassing:

  • Automation & control
  • Drives and Soft Starters
  • Electronic Components
  • Busduct
  • Fusegear
  • Enclosures
  • LV Modular Assemblies
  • Low Voltage Distribution Boards
  • LV Metering Panels
  • LV Main Switchboards
  • LV Motor Control Centres
  • Low Voltage Breakers MCBs/RCDs/RCBOs
  • Low Voltage Moulded Case Circuit Breakers
  • Low Voltage Air Circuit Breakers
  • Motor Control Components
  • Medium Voltage Breakers
  • Medium Voltage Switch boards
  • Medium Voltage Ring Main Units & Air Break Switches
  • Metering – Energy Management and Power Quality
  • Power Factor Correction - Components & Assemblies
  • Test & Measurement Instruments & Meters
  • Power Quality - UPS, Conditioners and TVSS
  • LV Audit Services - Condition, Energy Management & Power Quality

The name “Moeller” will remain as a key Eaton brand, joining other globally recognised names including Cutler Hammer, Westinghouse, Heinemann, Bell MEM, Powerware, Holec and Durant.

To make power protection, control and distribution purchasing decisions even easier, Eaton will also continue to represent a number of leading international vendors including Marechal, Kyoritsu, ETA and Circutor.

What does it all mean for customers? Eaton management is confident that the merger has created a bigger, better, more comprehensive product range which will be delivered by a bigger, better, more comprehensive company.
